History

According to Feeding America (2021) more than 37 million Americans are food insecure. In Pike County Alabama alone, food insecurity is 18.8%, which is higher than the 17% rate for the state of Alabama. Lack of nutrition hinders a child’s ability to learn and develop (Global Food Security, 2020). Toni’s Touch Feed My Lambs Program is endeavoring to change those statistics.  .

Since the beginning of 2012 Toni’s Touch instituted the “Feed my Lambs” Program, where we offered free hot lunch to children on periodic weekends. Since March 2017 Toni's Touch has been having the "Feed My Lambs" events in Brundidge, Alabama monthly.  The meals served are nutritious covering each of the four basic food groups.  Our goal is to feed a minimum of 500 children at each event in Brundidge, Alabama.

Thanks to our community partners for their ongoing support: Wells Fargo Bank, Grey Robinson Attorneys at Law, Sams Club, Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy Bank and Trust, and the Pike County Community.
